Armed Forces Groups at Loch Morlich Watersports...

Loch Morlich watersports has a long tradition of offering activities to the members of the armed forces.

The activities are a challenge, and we offer a learning experience that is great fun.

There is a terrific range of outdoor activities, both on and off the water:

  • Learn how to sail – it is easier than you think
  • The windsurfing is fast and fun
  • The Canoeing and Kayaking is motivating and exciting
  • River Trips travel by Canoe or Kayak
  • Woodland Walks - A fascinating insight to this special area at a pace that all will enjoy
  • Orienteering- A thinking persons treasure hunt
  • Team Building - Lateral thinking and teamwork
  • Mountain Biking is one of the best ways to discover the area.

CANOEING & KAYAKING

The centre has single kayaks and the larger Canadian style open canoes which take two or three persons. Loch Morlich and the burn, which runs into the loch, are ideal places to enjoy this sport.

SAILING

The centre has a fleet of Laser Picos, Toppers and Optimists. The different boats in our fleet offer a range of performance to suit all ages and abilities. The perfect way to explore the Loch Morlich.

STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING (SUP)

It’s a whole new way to experience the water in the outdoors. People of all ages, skill levels, and experience can be up and riding in no time. It’s fun to do, easy to pick up. It’s a great full body core workout.
We can instruct and coach you in the skills you need. All equipment required such as Wetsuits and BuoyancyAids are provided

WINDSURFING

Stable boards and a full range of specially reduced adult and junior sails. This ensures that the maximum time is spent on the board and not in the water. An introduction on the sandy beach quickly leads to being afloat

MOUNTAIN BIKING

Loch Morlich Watersports offers a cycling adventure suitable for everyone. An abundance of trails await in Glenmore Forest Park.  Cycle old logging trails, past rushing rivers, lochs and through native Caledonian Pine forests. The routes around Loch Morlich tell a different story at every turn.

Loch Morlich Watersports also offers the following 'Dry Options' for Groups:

  • WALKING
  • ORIENTEERING
  • TEAM BUILDING EXERCISES
